TAIL TALK GROOMING SALON POLICIES
Deposits: A $32 non refundable deposit is required to book an appointment. The deposit is applied toward the service. You will have 24 hours to send the deposit, or your appointment will be cancelled.
Payments: Payment is due at the completion of the service. All major credit cards are accepted. Tax will be added if using the card machine. We also accept Cash or Zelle.
Pick Up: As a one-on-one grooming salon, we schedule appointments to provide each dog with individualized care and attention. To maintain the flow of our schedule, we kindly ask that all dogs be picked up within one hour of the “ready for pickup” text message. Late pickups will result in an additional fee of $10 per hour.
Cancellation/No Shows: There is a no-refund policy on all services. No call/no show, no future appointments. We require a 48-hour notice to cancel any appointments. If we are not notified within that timeframe, you will be charged a fee of $45 for taking up an appointment space. Same-day cancellations will result in a 50% service charge.
Late Arrivals: To maintain the quality and timing of our one-on-one grooming services, clients arriving more than 10 minutes late will be subject to a $10 late fee and may be required to reschedule their appointment.
Safety: At Tail Talk Grooming Salon, the safety and well-being of every dog is our number one priority. We take great care in providing a safe grooming environment; however, as with any hands-on animal service, unforeseen incidents can occur. For your peace of mind, we are fully insured and committed to handling any situation responsibly and with compassion. We do require that all pet owners provide a veterinary/ emergency contact at check-in.
We kindly ask all pet parents to remain in the seating area or outside the grooming area during services. While we know it can be tempting to check in, most dogs respond better when separated from their owners during grooming. This helps reduce anxiety, improve cooperation, and allows us to complete services safely and efficiently.
Humanity Over Vanity Policy:
At our salon, your dogs’ comfort, safety, and well-being always come first. We reserve the right to refuse service to any dog displaying aggressive behavior. If at any point your dog cannot be safely groomed, services will be stopped, and you will be notified immediately.
In cases of severe matting, we will prioritize your dog's comfort and humane care. You will be notified, and the coat may need to be shaved as the safest option. A $15 de-matting fee will be applied when necessary.
We do not shave double-coated breeds as this can cause long-term damage to their coat and negatively impact their overall health.
